D EI EdThe depleting standard of teaching had been worrisome for the government; hence it has come up with the standard course which every teacher teaching in any government student needs to qualify. D El. Ed. It is the basic criteria for the teachers who wish to teach the primary and middle section in any government school. Earlier only B El. Ed was a course which empowered a student after class XII in order to teach in a government school. The result depletion of results in Government schools had exploited the teaching skills of government school teachers, hence as a remedy to mend the reputation attached to the education pattern, such decision is taken. “Instructors who have not done D.El.Ed course but rather showing in classes 1 to 8 under ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ to teach lessons have been given last chance to wind up plainly qualified in two years,” HRD Minister told correspondents at News Delhi on last Friday. This was done through a revision to the Right to Education Act, 2009, as the last opportunity for such educators not to lose their occupations. Since then, no one can teach in a government school without a minimum degree of D El. Ed.  W.e.f Jan 2019.

The base capability required to do certification in D El. Ed. is minimum 12th or the equivalent course. Though the government has relaxed the criteria for the SC/ST as for the 5% mark is permissible that means where a general category student needs 50% marks to qualify the D El. Ed., exam there an SC/ST/OBC student can qualify the same with 45% aggregate.

Change of Percentage at Class XII

In the event that a Teacher is not having half checks in total at Sr. Optional (Class12th) (General classification) and 45% checks in total at Sr. Auxiliary (Class12th)(For SC/ST/OBC/PH applicants), at that point NIOS Provides a shot for Improvement but one needs to enlist themselves for On Demand Admission under Category for Subject 1 or Subject 2. A maximum of 4 subjects can be attempted at once. On Passing, just Mark Statement will be issued D.El.Ed. A certificate will only be issued when you secure over 50% marks, else the candidate attempting it will fail in the examination.
