It was more than 2000 years ago that son of God, Jesus was born in Bethlehem. Christmas is celebrated as the birthday of Jesus worldwide, and significance of Christmas is much beyond than Christmas trees, gifts, and carols.
Jesus is the very epitome of spirituality, and he was born at the time when superstitious, greed, hatred, ignorance and hypocrisy conquest on earth. The time when purity was elapsed and ethics was neglected Jesus came for us and worked a transformation in lives of many people. He offered a fresh and a religious twist to the existence of man. Jesus helped to make people start a new way of life.
In that era, people have no thought of God, or we can say no idea of a higher spiritual life. He just exists amid anger, lust, deluded attachment, greed, jealousy and pride.
